Individual Therapy

Doing the work to heal and take care of your inner self never has to be done alone. Therapy in its purest form is a conversation between two humans, and getting to the roots of what may be causing you difficulty. We'll work one-on-one to navigate your mind together.

Focus Areas

• anxiety • depression • men’s health • high performance athletes • disability • substance use • trauma • emotional regulation • assessment • youth (14+)

Looking ahead to new possibilities. ORPE Psychology can help.

Assessments

Assessments provide a snapshot of your learning style, information regarding strengths and weaknesses, and allow for recommendations to help improve learning and academic performance. We offer Psychoeducational Assessments for children which includes screening for ADHD and other mental health disorders. We offer ADHD Assessments for adults outside of an academic setting as well- if you struggle with focus or attention at work for example.

  • The assessment typically includes several appointments. The first is to go over the assessment process and gather some background information about your child. Your child will attend typically three appointments to conduct the assessment. The testing includes the WISC-V, WIAT-IV, and BASC-3. We may include an additional instrument if it is needed, but typically these 3 are enough.

The intake and delivery appointments are each an hour. Each session with your child is two hours but will depend on the pacing your child feels comfortable with. I strive to ensure the process is enjoyable and stress free for everyone.

  • Each appointment is set for two hours. Every child approaches the assessment with their own pacing and I work to ensure the process is fun and stress free. Snacks and water are encouraged and I offer breaks as needed. Guests/parents are free to relax in the waiting room with a coffee or can return once the appointment is completed.

  • The total cost for the assessment is $3200. If you have insurance, it can be covered under psychological services. The first and last appointments can be billed under your name, and the testing appointments under your child. I hope that answers your questions but if you need any other information, please feel free to contact me at info@orpepscyhology.ca.
